About Daventry Phoenix Sports Academy

Daventry Phoenix Sport Academy was formally the Phoenix Youth Centre and was awarded 1.7 million by Sports England, Daventry District Council and Landform Estates for the refurbishment and extension of our current facility. This includes new toilets and showers on the upper and lower levels with disabled facilities. Our gymnastics hall has been extended by 13 sq. meters with new gym equipment and the addition of two floor level trampolines with dismount pitted area. All areas are wheelchair friendly with an excisable lift to the lower level. On the upper level our multi use sports hall has been refurbished with a new roof, floor area and changing facilities. We also now have an extended spectators area located in our newly refurbished café.

Academy Developments

We now offer many different events throughout the year, such as annual gymnastics festivals and in-house competitions for all members to participate in, alongside many different award schemes.

Our New Cafe

Our new café offers fresh hot and cold food served every day. Our burgers, pizza’s are made from scratch with tasty toppings on every batch. Have a cuppa a cake or two, we’re always happy to serve you.

    Lara has been a member and part of our coaching team for many years. Lara was also a gymnast herself reaching County and Regional competitive level. As a mother of three, she understands the importance of early development in young children. She holds a Club Coach Level 3 qualification which is recognised by British Gymnastics.

      Rachael has been a member and part of our coaching team for many years. Rachael started as a Phoenix gymnast and moved into coaching in her early teens. She holds a Club Coach Level 3 qualification which is recognised by British Gymnastics.

        Charlotte started as a gymnast from a young age and then moved on to competitive trampolining reaching national level. She holds a Level 1 in both gymnastics and trampolining which is recognised by British Gymnastics.

          Dani Childs had a background in the performing arts and joined our team 6 years ago as an assistant coach. Over the past 6 years, she has developed her skills to qualify as a Level 2 Gymnastics Coach and Pre-School. Dani is now currently working towards her club coach Level 3 Award which is all […]

            Karen is a fully qualified Freestyle Level 2 Coach & Level 2 in Gymnastics. Both qualifications are recognised by British Gymnastics.
